"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to the Lord." Philippians 4:6

Readers, I GOT INTO LAW SCHOOL! Can you believe it? All that hard work finally paid off! I can finally say I am a law student. As for which school I am going to, I have finally decided to University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. I have a bunch of people to thank including God, my parents, my friends, my advisor. They all supported and believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. I am so excited to start this journey! As for how I made my decision stay tuned for a post on how to decide, once you have gotten in!

For all my law school readers, please share tips and tricks to navigate the summer before 1L or just tips and tricks for 1L year!!

I'm a Graduate!

I can do all things. Through Christ who gives me strength! Philippians 4:13

I did it!!!! I graduated and I am back to blogging! I apologize to all you readers wondering where I have gone! I am back with tons of things to write about. I have a bunch to tell you, readers! This semester has been the most stressful, most difficult, most rewarding I have had. I finally got my Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from Stevenson University. I still can't believe it and it still has not sunk in. Cindy Polynice, B.S. hmmm nice ring but now onto Cindy Polynice, J.D.

The reason that I disappeared off the face of the earth was because I underestimated my semester. I thought my semester was going to be easy but between my classes, commuting, my social life, and enjoying my time as a senior with my friends that were going to move away, it was a doozy. When I tell you guys ever since my freshman year I tried to keep my workload heavy so that by my senior year, I could live easily, I tried. This semester I only took 12 credits and that amounted to 4 classes which were criminal procedure and investigation, photography, capstone, and history of Baltimore online. I thought I was gonna have it easy! Boy, was I wrong!!

I also became a commuter in December, moving from living on campus when I was a 5-minute walk from everything to an apartment 30 minutes away from campus. 30 MINUTES DRIVING PEOPLE (when there is no traffic). I pretty much lived in my car! All the homework assignments, the severe case of senioritis, being active in my extracurriculars, having a full-time job, and maintaining my sanity this semester really took a toll on me. But I managed to do it! Four years of stress, late night studying, weight gain, tears, and lots of prayers. I finally did it. The first one to graduate college out of my entire family and to beat statistics of African Americans not even that but foreigners not succeeding. But I hope I am an example to anyone out there that is trying to succeed at their dreams, that you can do it!

Anyway, I am starting to ramble! This post is to celebrate great accomplishments! To everyone who graduated CONGRATULATIONS GRAD! The world is yours, conquer it! To everyone who isn't quite there yet! Keep trucking! I know you can do it!
